Update Time!

I have been doing a really good job of updating this haven't I? ;)

I am hoping to regularly update this blog now that we are in NZ just incase anybody back home is sad enough to read it!

The boy and I left Shetland on Saturday 23rd of May (Happy Birthday Auld Man), we then travelled as follows:-

• Sat 23/05/2009 - 1230 to 1400 - Sumburgh to Edinburgh with British Airways/Flybe
• Sat 23/05/2009 - 1700 to 1900 - Edinburgh to London Heathrow with British Airways
• Sun 24/05/2009 - 2230 (13 hour flight) - London Heathrow to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific
• Mon 25/05/2009 - 2105 (10.5 hour flight) - Hong Kong to Auckland, NZ with Cathay Pacific
• Tue 26/05/2009 - 1150 - Arrived in Auckland.

A lot of people came to see us away on the plane and make sure that we actually went! This turned out to be quite an emotional time but we managed to taxi before the Sumburgh airfield became waterlogged.

When the pilot came on to give his announcement he began with the lines, "Good afternoon ladies, gentlemen and Craig and Aidan". This brought a smile to our faces. The hostess had been told to take good care of us which resulted in Aidan receiving two tins of juice and half a dozen bags of pretzels and me receiving beer and a supersized glass of Whisky.

Once we landed in Edinburgh, Lynette and Stuart met us at the airport for a couple of drinks and a gibber which was very good of them. Hopefully they will both be able to visit sometime soon.

We then set off for London, arriving at the new Terminal 5 (Picture: Aidan next to the water feature). We then managed to catch the tube into London and successfully navigate it to our destination for the evening.
