Gibberings fae a Ness man in NZ

Day 3 - Tauranga

Thursday 28th May - Another lovely sunny day.

Dropped off our registration forms at the doctors before heading to the AA to open a membership and get our driving licenses. We have been issued temporary licenses until the full ones come through. This was an easy process as well. Had to take a simple eye test and get our photos taken and that was pretty much it. The forms to get our IRD numbers had to be handed in here as well, so we managed to get that done at the same time.

After that we went and bought the netbook that I am using just now to type this. We also got a printer, a wireless keyboard and mouse so that I can hook it up to the telly and an external SATA hard drive so I can access the files on my old drive.

Following this we went and had a look at a couple of car auction places. Not a lot was available within our budget. We stopped at a bakery to get some of the famous NZ pies for lunch which we sat and ate in the sun.

Tania and Stewart went to get some shopping while Aidan and I stayed at the house. Aidan was keen to get out into the garden and play football. (Picture: Aidan playing football)

Stewart took Aidan to get a skateboard which he has been out practising with on an almost daily basis since. (Picture: Aidan on his new skateboard)

We also visited Otumoetai Primary School to get Aidan enrolled. It looks like a nice school.

Heather popped along with a car she is loaning to us until we get sorted. She has been exceptionally good to us.

Lovely sunset tonight, almost blood-red, the photo below doesn't do it justice though. I really need to get a tripod organised.
